About
Charlie, our much-loved family cat, stealing the show!
Hi, I'm Sarah!
I have a background in plant science, previously working as a viticulturist in the wine industry for 19 years. In 2017, at the age of 41, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease (a type of inflammatory bowel disease) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) which changed the course of my life.
Inspired and motivated by the beneficial effect that gut healthy eating and lifestyle changes had on resolving my digestive issues, I returned to study so that I could share my knowledge and help others struggling with poor gut health.
My mission is to simplify complex health and nutritional information, alleviate overwhelm and provide clarity and simple practical steps to help you adopt gut healthy eating and lifestyle habits so you can reclaim your vitality and live free of debilitating digestive troubles.
Adding an abundance of delicious and nutrient rich plant foods was a key part of my healing journey and I continue to enjoy daily smoothies, and other colourful and nutritious plant-forward meals and snacks. Having a sweet tooth, I also enjoy making healthy treats with ingredients including medjool dates, nut butter and dark chocolate!
When I’m not coaching clients, you’ll find me in the kitchen cooking simple but tasty plant-forward meals for my family, hanging out with our cat Charlie, tending to our vegetable garden or learning about the latest nutrition research. I also enjoy going to the gym, yoga and bush walking around the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

How we can work together
I love working with clients to really get to the bottom (pun intended!) of their digestive issues and help them take the small steps towards a healthier approach to eating and lifestyle that supports good gut health. All of my coaching options include 45-60-minute weekly sessions where we can focus on you and help you with what you & your body needs. My Qualifications
I have a Bachelor of Science (University of Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma in Viticulture (University of Adelaide). More recently I completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Nutrition (at Deakin University) and a Level 3 Certificate for Health and Allied Health Professionals (through Wellness Coaches Australia).
I am a member of Health Coaches Australia & New Zealand Association (HCANZA) and the International Institute of Complimentary Therapists (IICT).
In addition, I have experienced my own gut health journey, shifting myself and my young family towards a plant-forward, gut healthy way of eating and living in 2020.
